A very scary article.

יז מִהֲרוּ, בָּנָיִךְ; מְהָרְסַיִךְ וּמַחֲרִיבַיִךְ, מִמֵּךְ יֵצֵאוּ.
17 Thy children make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth from thee. (Yeshayahu 49:17).
My first reaction was my usual revulsion at the small group of "Orthodox Jews in beards, side-curls and heavy black coats - holding up signs saying “Stop AIPAC”, “Torah forbids Jews dictating foreign policy”, and “Judaism rejects the state of Israel”." But when I finished the article my anxiety was heightened by serious fears about the perception of the Jews as the powerful "other", the insinuation that they were a strong force behind the Iraq fiasco and the intractable Palestinian "problem".
The likes of Georges Soros, the Reform liberals and other such groups play into the hand of our enemies. They come across as merely critical of current policy without offering constructive alternatives.
I don't know what the solution is. We need inspired leadership to help us deal with a potential existential problem for Klal Yisrael. We need a Shimon ben Shatach, a Rabbi Yehudah Hanassi or a Rabeinu Moshe ben Maimon, leaders who have integrated Torah with reality, to pull us out of this quagmire.
