Knowledge is the building block of Judaism. Love of God is contingent on what one knows about Him. ועל פי הדעה--על פי האהבה--אם מעט מעט, ואם הרבה הרבה I am planning to post from time to time some of the ideas that I develop as I read and think about issues that catch my attention. Usually they relate to Machshava or Halacha especially how they affect our daily life. I am looking forward to learn from all commenters.

Our Grandson Gavriel Moshe -
Our grandson Gavriel Moshe put on Tefillin for the first time on the day of his Bar Mitzvah yesterday morning. We had the great Zechut to have four generations in the Beit Hakenesset at the time.
Gavriel is the sweetest bright loving son/grandson one can hope for and we look forward to watch him grow into a happy and successful young man.

ReplyDeleteIn my primary school class of around thirty boys, there were exactly two that had grandfathers. It's ironic that the only real teacher of gratitude is deprivation.
I recommend getting the four of you together and taking a picture with your faces next to each other.
