Knowledge is the building block of Judaism. Love of God is contingent on what one knows about Him.
ועל פי הדעה--על פי האהבה--אם מעט מעט, ואם הרבה הרבה
I am planning to post from time to time some of the ideas that I develop as I read and think about issues that catch my attention. Usually they relate to Machshava or Halacha especially how they affect our daily life. I am looking forward to learn from all commenters.
Thank you for your posts. You have brought to my attention my wrong ways. Now I have started to study and started to do some actual repentance. Some of us think, because of we are a member of the religious community we are righteous. You brought my attention to Maimonides, who opened my eyes with his very simple words. He brought my attention to Proverbs and partial attention to the Torah. Solomon at last brought my complete attention to the Torah and I have at last started to actually learn it.
This Tisha Ba'av was the first fast I spent learning instead of in slumber or wasting time in front of the computer.
If I could make one request. Can you focus more on walking on the just path? For it is very difficult for people like me to do so by myself.
